Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct fundamental data profiling on datasets to assess completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

• Document observations and highlight data quality concerns to the team.

• Assist in creating straightforward data quality reports for stakeholder evaluation.

• Acquire knowledge and utilize Microsoft Purview for daily data governance tasks.

• Register data assets and uphold data catalog entries.

• Adhere to established governance protocols and document procedures.

• Collaborate with business teams to comprehend daily data utilization.

• Compose clear definitions for business terminology and fundamental data rules based on profiling outcomes.

• Maintain and organize the business glossary consistently.

• Facilitate the standardization of data formats, naming conventions, and values across systems.

• Identify inconsistencies and coordinate data cleansing initiatives.

• Develop and oversee small-scale data informatics projects.

• Ensure compliance with data informatics standards.

• Create and present training sessions.

• Provide constructive feedback to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Data Science, Informatics, or a related discipline.

• 2–3 years of experience in data informatics or data analysis.

• Knowledge of Group Insurance data domains.

• Basic understanding of data concepts, including databases, tables, and data types.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

• Experience with SQL is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Excel is advantageous.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

• Effective communicator, capable of asking pertinent questions and providing clear explanations.

• Eager to learn new tools and processes with direction.

• Organized, dependable, and comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment.
