Customs Import Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +36 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and oversee iFIT's global import compliance operations, focusing primarily on U.S. customs clearance.

• Create and implement audit and valuation processes, which include physically assisted components, tooling, and freight assists.

• Manage and enhance reconciliation programs for flagged entries, including conducting post-entry audits.

• Supervise HTS classification reviews and maintain the classification database.

• Direct customs broker partner RFPs.

• Develop processes and systems to ensure compliance with U.S. and international customs laws and regulations.

• Oversee and coordinate the activities of the trade compliance and brokerage teams.

• Act as the primary liaison for customs authorities and resolve intricate issues.

• Collaborate with customs officials, shippers, and stakeholders on matters concerning trade compliance.

• Monitor changes in regulations and enhance related processes.

• Manage global import/export operations across the USA and provide support to other operational regions.

• Oversee trade documentation, risk mitigation strategies, compliance manuals, SOPs, compliance committee initiatives, ACE Portal activities, country-of-origin assessments, and post-entry audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in import, customs compliance, or trade management.

• Familiarity with ACE Portal, trade compliance systems, and SAP.

• Extensive knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) license is preferred.

• Certification as a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent trade compliance certification is considered an asset.
