This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +23 more states.
• Create and implement a named professor advocate program to discover, engage, and activate customer champions.
• Develop segmented advocate groups for individual adopters and institutional partnerships.
• Maintain an advocate database that includes engagement history, content consent, and referral status.
• Manage newsletters, spotlights, exclusive previews, and appreciation initiatives for the advocate community.
• Support Customer Advisory Board programs and customer-centric events.
• Supervise customer case studies, testimonials, video interviews, customer-generated content, and pull quotes.
• Own the complete case study pipeline from identification through distribution planning.
• Drive review generation and online reputation initiatives; oversee monitoring and responses to reviews.
• Develop a structured referral program for warm introductions to Sales.
• Create approved reference, peer testimonial, and name-drop libraries for sales cycles.
• Provide Sales with pertinent references and customer evidence at suitable deal stages.
• Package customer outcomes into resources that support sales cycles and retention efforts.
• Identify professors for conferences, webinars, and guest content opportunities.
• Activate advocates on LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
• Build a speaker roster for events and panels.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on customer engagement, product awareness, and adoption initiatives.
• Lead customer communications that reinforce value, including webinars, newsletters, and educational content.
• Collect customer insights to inform marketing, product, and customer experience strategies.
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
• Report on advocacy commercial outcomes to leadership on a monthly basis.
• Over 4 years of experience in customer marketing, customer advocacy, or community programs within a B2B SaaS environment.
• Proven track record of developing advocacy programs that yield measurable commercial outcomes such as pipeline growth, referrals, and case studies.
• Exceptional skills in building relationships with professors.
• Strong storytelling abilities to craft compelling customer narratives.
• High sense of ownership and comfort with sales-related metrics.
• Ability to collaborate closely with a revenue team.
• Analytical mindset to track performance and derive actionable insights.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage a large portfolio of relationships and multiple concurrent projects.
• Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Nice to have: experience in edtech or selling to academic institutions.
• Nice to have: familiarity with advocacy platforms such as Orca, Influitive, and ReferenceEdge.
• Nice to have: experience with LinkedIn content strategy and thought leadership programs.
