Curriculum Designer – Computer Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, modify, and create existing resources into a comprehensive self-paced curriculum

• Develop lessons, explanations, worked examples, activities, and assessments

• Ensure content is in line with iGCSE and International A-Level specifications, exam-board standards, and marking criteria

• Design assessments that are auto-graded, self-checking, and provide teacher feedback

• Organize and sequence content for independent learners utilizing chunking, scaffolding, retrieval practice, and digital interactions

• Construct courses within school systems using designated templates, technology, and brand guidelines

• Produce video lessons, voiceovers, screencasts, interactive tools, knowledge checks, and other digital learning resources

• Implement accessibility and inclusion standards, including SEND awareness, readability, alt text, and WCAG guidelines

• Adhere to production timelines and delivery milestones

• Submit drafts for editorial and QA review, obtain approvals, and make revisions based on feedback

• Utilize third-party content in compliance with legal standards and create properly owned intellectual property

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently or recently a teacher with a teaching qualification and robust subject and curriculum expertise

• Experience in creating lesson materials for online education

• Familiarity with asynchronous lesson design/course development

• Knowledge of designing for independent, self-paced learners

• Experience in assessment design aligned with iGCSE and International A-Level specifications, exam-board standards, and marking criteria

• Proficient in working with an LMS/VLE

• Willingness and capability to record video lessons and voiceovers, comfortable on camera and microphone

• Understanding of accessibility and inclusion (SEND, WCAG, readability)

• Self-driven and adept at managing oneself, able to meet deadlines while working remotely and independently

• Background in synchronous lesson design

• Knowledge of iGCSE and International A-Level exam-board requirements and specification alignment

• Experience in interactive content creation and an interest in digital learning tools

• Basic media editing skills

• Understanding of GDPR, copyright/licensing, and safeguarding in online education

• Must be willing to work from the UK
