This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Comprehend customer business needs and create architecture and design documentation.
• Develop and implement Proof of Concept and/or Deployment Acceptance test plans along with reports.
• Create implementation guides that include configuration templates and deployment strategies.
• Execute and support engineering teams in executing intricate deployment strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Analyze and report on software and hardware defects.
• Conduct assessments for software and code upgrades for CSfC enclaves and assist with or perform code upgrades.
• Debug and pinpoint complex issues.
• Investigate and assess system requirements, development processes, design, and re-engineering aspects.
• Address enterprise business challenges utilizing hardware, software, databases, operating systems, and networks.
• Design and outline IT system architecture that integrates various platforms, operating systems, and applications.
• Establish system specifications, input/output processes, and maintain hardware/software compatibility and security parameters.
• Oversee subsystem design and ensure complete system integration.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve program support deficiencies.
• Create and document frameworks for modifications to technical standards.
• Aid in the development and management of an architecture governance process.
• Provide remote and/or on-site support to customers during deployment and operational phases.
• Offer high-level engineering assistance for Engineering and Implementation as well as Operations and Maintenance contracts.
• Travel frequently to customer sites both CONUS and OCONUS.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology along with 10+ years of relevant experience OR VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) 6.x in Data Center Virtualization (DCV) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive expertise in VMware virtualization technologies.
• Proficient in VMware Server Virtualization, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Virtual SAN (vSAN) implementations, and vRealize Operations (vROPS).
• Strong operational experience with Virtual Distributed vSwitches (VDS) and virtual networking technologies.
• Familiarity with Ethernet switching, TCP/UDP protocols, common use cases, and load balancing technologies.
• Experience in deploying or maintaining OEM products such as Dell, EMC, Cisco, and SonicWall.
• Understanding of Data Center Architectures and design principles.
• Experience in producing written technical documentation.
• Background in NSA’s Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or related Cross Domain technologies.
• Highly knowledgeable about U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community policies and protocols.
• Secret clearance is mandatory to commence employment.
• Top Secret clearance is preferred and required for ongoing employment.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
