This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Zambia.
• Professionally and sustainably drive agronomic support and sales services of Yara's premium and differentiated products to commercial agricultural producers.
• Provide agronomic expertise along with technical support.
• Develop, sell, implement, and monitor the portfolio of plant nutrition products.
• Support digital farming solutions.
• Conduct market intelligence activities.
• Manage sales planning, forecasting, ordering, and logistics.
• Handle credit applications, debtor management, and account query resolutions.
• Manage relationships and stakeholders within the commercial farming sector.
• Adhere to and promote company policies, values, and contractual obligations.
• Identify problems, gather information, make informed judgments, and engage relevant experts, decision-makers, and stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions.
• Contribute to daily sales solutions and enhance overall company performance.
• Report to the Agronomy & Commercial Sales Manager - Zambia Cluster.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in crop production, plant nutrition, and agronomic principles.
• Proven experience and knowledge in selling, marketing, and negotiating within the commercial farming sector.
• Familiarity with corporate and commercial customer service and relationship management.
• Knowledge of sales administration relevant to corporate and commercial agricultural producers.
• Ability to work independently within a diverse and geographically dispersed team.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• BSc. Agric Degree or a related qualification along with fertilization certification.
• Membership in the Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AIZ).
• Demonstrated success in similar roles involving agronomic support and plant nutrition sales to commercial agricultural producers.
• Preferably have experience in sugar cane farming.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in an agronomy and sales role specific to the commercial farming sector.
• Experience in seasonal planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint or similar software.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
