Crop Claims Field Adjuster I – SC Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Conduct field inspections and associated activities, which include interpreting maps and aerial images, as well as measuring fields and storage facilities.

• Engage in discussions with farmers regarding crop-loss assessments on intricate, non-standard, challenging, and contentious claims.

• Communicate intricate regulations and their interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry stakeholders.

• Carry out investigative tasks related to crop damage.

• Accurately document and relay loss information to assess potential indemnities.

• Assemble pertinent facts, apply relevant laws, and establish fundamental principles of negligence.

• Conduct reviews and audits of claims assigned to lower-level adjusters.

• Stay informed about regulatory and company policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with legal standards.

• Participate in team initiatives and achieve related outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• At least 6 months of experience in the agricultural sector.

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be secured within 180 days from the hire date.

• Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel within the designated territory.

• Valid Driver’s License is required.

• Capability to walk through agricultural fields for distances of up to 3 miles.

• Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet high.

• Physical capacity to lift weights between 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.

• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.

• Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level.
