Crop Claims Field Adjuster I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Conduct field inspections and associated tasks, including interpreting maps and aerial imagery, as well as measuring fields and storage bins.

• Discuss findings related to crop loss with farmers regarding complex, non-routine, and contentious claims.

• Communicate intricate regulations and their interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry professionals.

• Carry out investigations into crop damage.

• Document and transmit loss information to accurately assess potential indemnities.

• Collect pertinent facts, apply relevant laws, and establish fundamental principles of negligence.

• Complete reviews and audits of claims for lower-level adjusters as assigned.

• Stay informed about regulatory and company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal standards.

• Contribute to team initiatives and take part in projects as required.

• Travel approximately 50% of the time to cover the designated territory.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• At least 6 months of experience in the agricultural sector.

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) is required to be obtained within 180 days of hire.

• Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Capability to walk up to 3 miles in agricultural fields.

• Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet.

• Capacity to lift weights ranging from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work outdoors in diverse temperature and weather conditions.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.

• Experience serving as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Must reside and provide services within a 100-mile radius of Marinette, Oconto, and/or Shawano Counties in Wisconsin.
