This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Cultivate and manage a productive agency plant/territory.
• Create marketing strategies tailored for the designated territory.
• Identify, appoint, and oversee agency relationships to meet production and profitability goals.
• Formulate and implement agency action plans as required.
• Review and evaluate agents' performance and outcomes.
• Execute or suggest corrective actions, including the modification or termination of agency appointments.
• Serve as a liaison between the organization and producers to address challenges.
• Promote and deliver strategic training on company offerings and services.
• Educate agencies on products, practices, services, technology solutions, and integration requirements.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain competitive market information.
• Provide recommendations based on industry trends and the competitive landscape.
• Make profit-focused risk selection and pricing decisions within the assigned authority.
• Oversee overall quality and pricing for the territory's book of business.
• Monitor persistency, placement, and agent/agency financial obligations.
• Bind risks in the field and conduct risk assessments.
• Support agents with large or complex accounts during initial or critical phases.
• Establish and sustain effective relationships with both internal and external customers and colleagues.
• Ensure consistent communication with agents and brokers.
• Administer and enforce insurance laws, regulations, underwriting rules, guidelines, and rating manual standards.
• Identify potential opportunities for and lead new business or program development initiatives.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant fields of study include Agriculture, Liberal Arts, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in sales and/or agriculture.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including day and overnight trips, up to 80% of the time.
• Fundamental understanding of agency dynamics, marketing, underwriting, and risk management.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster relationships.
• Proven decision-making skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
