Crisis Specialist, Chat/Text – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer compassionate and nonjudgmental crisis intervention through chat and SMS text.

• Perform assessments for suicide risk and behavioral health, providing support for de-escalation.

• Work collaboratively with on-shift clinicians when advanced intervention is necessary.

• Create safety and action plans tailored to individuals in crisis.

• Link callers to suitable community resources and crisis response partners.

• Ensure accurate documentation of interactions in the electronic health record.

• Adhere to established 988 Lifeline protocols and performance standards.

• Support team objectives related to response times, availability, and quality of care.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED along with four (4) years of full-time behavioral health experience, or a blend of education and experience.

• Bachelor's degree with 1 year of Behavioral Health experience, or Associate degree with 2 years of Behavioral Health experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to multitask across various software platforms in a fast-paced setting.

• Ability to maintain focus and composure during emotionally charged conversations.

• Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential is mandatory by the end of the probationary period; applications must be submitted within 30 days of employment.

• Experience in crisis intervention or suicide prevention is required.

• Background in behavioral health or contact center work is preferred.

• Residency in Washington, Arizona, Ohio, or Texas is required.

• Access to reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection is essential; no hotspots or satellite connections are permitted.

• A smartphone capable of utilizing Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is necessary.

• A quiet, private workspace suitable for confidential discussions is required.

• Ability to sit and use a headset for extended periods is essential.

• A brief computer skills assessment is mandatory as part of the hiring process.
