Crisis Specialist, Chat/Text

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver compassionate, nonjudgmental crisis intervention through chat and SMS text.

• Perform assessments for suicide risk and behavioral health.

• Assist in de-escalation efforts.

• Work in collaboration with on-duty clinicians when advanced intervention is required.

• Create safety and action plans with individuals experiencing a crisis.

• Link callers to suitable community resources and crisis response partners.

• Maintain accurate records of interactions in the electronic health record system.

• Adhere to established 988 Lifeline protocols and performance criteria.

• Contribute to team objectives related to response times, availability, and quality of care.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED along with four (4) years of full-time behavioral health experience, or a combination of education and experience.

• Bachelor's degree with 1 year of behavioral health experience, or Associate degree with 2 years of behavioral health experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to multitask across various software platforms in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to remain composed and focused during emotionally charged conversations.

• Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential must be obtained by the end of the probationary period; applications must be submitted within 30 days of hire.

• Experience in crisis intervention or suicide prevention.

• Background in behavioral health or contact centers.

• Residence required in Washington, Arizona, Ohio, or Texas.

• Dependable high-speed internet connection with a wired setup; no hotspots or satellite connections.

• Smartphone capable of utilizing Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

• A quiet, private workspace suitable for confidential discussions.

• Ability to sit and use a headset for extended durations.

• A brief computer skills assessment is required as part of the hiring process.
