Crisis Call Specialist – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver compassionate, non-judgmental crisis intervention through chat and SMS text.

• Perform assessments for suicide risk and behavioral health, and assist with de-escalation.

• Collaborate with on-duty clinicians when higher-level interventions are required.

• Create safety and action plans with individuals facing crises.

• Connect callers to suitable community resources and crisis response partners.

• Precisely document interactions in the electronic health record.

• Adhere to established 988 Lifeline protocols and performance standards.

• Contribute to team objectives regarding response times, availability, and quality care.

• Offer emotional support to individuals undergoing mental health crises.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED along with four (4) years of full-time behavioral health experience, or a combination of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of Behavioral Health experience, or an Associate degree plus 2 years of Behavioral Health experience.

• Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential is required by the end of the probationary period; application must be submitted within 30 days of hire.

• Experience in crisis intervention or suicide prevention.

• Background in behavioral health or contact center environments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to multitask across various software platforms in a fast-paced setting.

• Ability to maintain focus and composure during emotionally charged discussions.

• Must be a resident of Washington, Arizona, Ohio, or Texas.

• Reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection; no hotspots or satellite connections permitted.

• Smartphone must be capable of using Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

• Quiet, private workspace suitable for confidential discussions is required.

• Capacity to sit and use a headset for extended durations.

• A brief computer skills assessment is necessary as part of the hiring process.
