This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and provide timely updates on their cases.
• Process criminal cases for trial preparation, which includes handling legal documents, data entry, and correspondence.
• Complete a daily court calendar, obtain jury panels, and issue discovery to defense attorneys.
• Prepare subpoenas and cancel them when trials are completed, dismissed, or continued.
• Enter revocation petitions and prepare the necessary files for court proceedings.
• Request documentation of criminal history, including national, state, and local records, booking photos, arrest records, juvenile criminal histories, and Bureau of Motor Vehicles records.
• Perform office-related tasks to support department operations, including assisting co-workers and managing front desk responsibilities related to public inquiries regarding criminal complaints.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Criminal Defense is required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is necessary.
• Paralegal or relevant legal experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Case Management Software is essential.
• Must be based in LATAM.
