This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist the Credentialing Department by managing administrative duties, communication, and document collection for the onboarding, credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging processes of clinical staff.
• Act as the main administrative point of contact for new employees throughout the onboarding process.
• Clearly communicate credentialing requirements and follow up on any missing documentation.
• Facilitate communication among Credentialing, People Operations, departmental leaders, and external licensing or training organizations.
• Request, gather, monitor, organize, and confirm necessary documentation.
• Track the expiration dates of licenses, DEA credentials, and life support certifications.
• Maintain logs, spreadsheets, checklists, and databases related to credentialing.
• Compile credentialing documentation for assessment and organize files in accordance with HRSA best-practice guidelines.
• Coordinate meeting schedules, deadlines for committee packets, and timelines for communication.
• Provide updates on status, identify gaps in documentation, and enhance administrative workflows.
• Keep credentialing files ready for audits to support HRSA Operational Site Visits and FTCA compliance.
• Assist staff with document requests and inquiries regarding processes.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and timely start dates.
• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the credentialing department.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including those pertaining to Medicare, Medicaid, and various commercial insurance plans.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in clinical credentialing.
• Experience with credentialing software such as MD Staff is preferred.
• Capability to lift 50 pounds and move items as necessary.
