This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Deliver cost management services throughout the entire project lifecycle for commercial real estate construction initiatives across the United States.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on procurement methods and oversee vendor prequalification, proposal evaluations, bid comparisons, interviews, recommendations, and selections.
• Oversee project estimating, encompassing construction costs, fees, direct labor, and additional expenses.
• Review and communicate estimates, value engineering suggestions, risk assessments, and benchmark information to clients.
• Handle cost reporting, forecasts, commercial risk registers, and regular meetings with project teams and vendors.
• Oversee cost control processes, including payment applications, contractor entitlements, change orders, payment requests, and contract-related disputes.
• Manage and supervise invoicing procedures.
• Benchmark performance against successful commissions.
• Administer final accounting, post-contract audits, and account closures.
• Conduct post-contract client evaluations, document lessons learned, and create training materials.
• Establish project handover protocols.
• Utilize and prepare bid analysis sheets, change control documents, cost estimating software, and take-off tools.
• Comply with relevant SOX control duties.
• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.
• At least 3–5 years of pertinent experience in a cost management position within the construction sector.
• RICS accreditation or progress towards it is advantageous.
• Experience in providing cost management support on medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of construction industry technical aspects, including procurement strategies, value management, and value engineering.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to function independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
