This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of a designated portfolio of corporate partners, managing income, retention, renewals, growth, risks, and overall health.
• Develop and execute account plans for priority partners.
• Recognize upsell opportunities, foster multi-year commitments, enhance engagement, and maximize partnership value.
• Lead discussions on renewals, securing extensions and multi-year agreements.
• Project portfolio income, maintain CRM accuracy, and identify accounts at risk.
• Oversee income and expenditure budgets for the portfolio and provide reports on performance.
• Integrate accessibility, equity, and inclusion into partnership stewardship and growth strategies.
• Supervise and mentor the Partnerships Officer/Executive.
• Collaborate with the Trusts and Foundations Manager on partner insights and joint opportunities.
• Work alongside the Senior Manager on corporate partnerships strategy and annual planning.
• Build relationships ranging from daily contacts to senior decision-makers and internal advocates.
• Comprehend partners’ commercial and social objectives.
• Conduct ethical and reputational due diligence on new and renewing partners.
• Partner with the Corporate New Business Manager on handovers, market insights, referrals, and introductions.
• Coordinate employee engagement, fundraising, communications, advocacy, and partner fundraising initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Programmes, MarComms, Advocacy, Finance, and Data to fulfill partner commitments.
• Collect feedback and share partner insights and donor behavior across the organization.
• Work with MarComms on partner communications, content, and impact reporting.
• Monitor issues and policies impacting Cool Earth’s mission and identify partnership opportunities.
• Represent Cool Earth in meetings and events with partners.
• Proven experience in managing corporate partnerships, client accounts, or similar commercial relationships with demonstrable income responsibility.
• Strong track record of stewarding, renewing, and expanding significant, high-value relationships.
• Experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels, including senior decision-makers.
• Background in developing partnership plans, proposals, and pitches, and working within partnership agreements.
• Solid commercial awareness and understanding of partnership income structures.
• Experience in managing income and expenditure budgets and reporting on them.
• Ability to assess partners for ethical alignment and reputational risk.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
• Knowledge of the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice and GDPR as they relate to corporate partnerships.
• Strong skills in account planning, budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated accuracy in pipeline management and CRM discipline.
• Capability to manage multiple partnerships and competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for corporate proposals and impact reports.
• Ability to leverage data and partner insights for determining partnership growth.
• Experience in collaborative working with programmes, communications, advocacy, finance, and data teams.
• Genuine commitment to climate action, nature conservation, and the rights of rainforest communities.
• Willingness to travel within the UK for partner meetings and occasional events.
• Desirable: experience in charity or not-for-profit sectors.
• Desirable: experience in line management or readiness to undertake such responsibilities.
• Desirable: experience with employee engagement or staff fundraising programs.
• Desirable: experience managing six-figure corporate partnerships.
• Desirable: knowledge of commercial participator arrangements, brand or licensing deals, and VAT considerations.
• Desirable: experience working with international partners or across time zones.
• Desirable: familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• Legal eligibility to live and work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
