Corporate Lawyer – Legal Counsel Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Offer legal counsel and act as the primary attorney for legal inquiries.

• Provide guidance on contract-related risks and commercial solutions while aligning business goals with legal obligations.

• Draft, evaluate, and negotiate SaaS agreements, contract addenda, NDAs, termination letters, and other documents for customers.

• Maintain contract templates and manage internal approval processes.

• Collaborate with insurance brokers regarding contractual endorsements.

• Deliver ongoing legal training to the Americas Sales Team.

• Keep track of regulatory changes, evaluate their implications and risks, and suggest necessary actions.

• Aid in the adoption and integration of AI-driven legal technology tools for enhanced contract review and workflow efficiency.

• Coordinate support from external legal counsel.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as reasonably requested by Senior Management.

• Report directly to the Head of Legal.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a practicing transactional lawyer in the U.S.

• At least 3 years of experience in SaaS negotiations.

• An active license to practice law in the United States.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Proficient negotiation and contract drafting abilities.

• Capability to communicate professionally and provide approachable legal advice tailored to the audience.

• Willingness to work within the United States.
