This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.
• Develop financial forecasts for banking licenses and payment institution/EMI applications, encompassing P&L, balance sheet, capital, and liquidity.
• Take ownership of funds and regulatory capital planning, covering requirements, headroom, and performance under growth and stress conditions.
• Model safeguarding and payment buffers across regulated entities.
• Assist legal, compliance, and regulatory teams throughout application and Q&A processes.
• Align license and capital models with the company's financial model and actuals.
• Create business cases and investment proposals for new markets, products, and initiatives.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses for the CEO, CFO, and Supervisory Board.
• Assess profitability and unit economics at the product, segment, and market levels.
• Prepare materials for board meetings and investors.
• Facilitate fundraising efforts through model preparation, diligence inquiries, and investor engagement.
• Support M&A workstreams, including valuation, structuring analysis, and due diligence.
• Collaborate with selected functions on planning, cost management, and investment decisions.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses as required.
• Work closely with the VP of Finance as the fourth member of the senior Corporate Finance team.
• Over 4 years of experience in corporate finance, strategic finance, financial modeling, transaction services, or the finance department of a bank or fintech.
• Experience in building or significantly maintaining sophisticated financial models for banks, fintechs, or financial institutions.
• Familiarity with regulatory financial models, including license applications, capital planning, ICAAP/ILAAP, or regulatory reporting.
• Exceptional skills in Excel/Google Sheets modeling.
• Strong understanding of the three financial statements and their interrelations.
• Knowledge of banking or fintech economics, including interchange, net interest income, funding, and capital.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of perfectionism.
• Structured thinking approach and an ownership mentality.
• Comfortable working independently with the CFO, CEO, and board-level stakeholders.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.
