This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Draft, examine, and negotiate commercial agreements such as SaaS subscriptions, software licenses, NDAs, DPAs, and vendor/supplier contracts.
• Assist senior counsel with intricate deal structuring and negotiations.
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Deal Desk, Product, and Security to ensure contracts align with business objectives and risk management frameworks.
• Facilitate new product launches by drafting and reviewing customer-facing terms and go-to-market agreements.
• Provide guidance on privacy issues and ensure compliance with data protection laws like GDPR and CCPA.
• Enhance contract templates, playbooks, and processes, including through the use of AI-powered tools.
• Deliver practical, business-focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate within the broader business portfolio of the Legal Team.
• Report directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & International, while partnering with colleagues globally.
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in a US state bar in good standing.
• 2–4 years of experience in commercial, SaaS, or technology transactions, either in a law firm or in-house.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and software licensing frameworks.
• A strong curiosity to investigate the underlying reasons behind business and legal challenges, not just the surface-level issues.
• A proactive approach: you take initiative, follow through, and do not wait for direction.
• Strong communication skills and excellent organizational abilities.
• A genuine interest in integrating AI-based legal technologies and participating in modern legal operations.
• Prior in-house experience at a rapidly growing technology company is highly desirable.
• An undergraduate degree in business, computer science, or a technology-related discipline is a plus.
• Experience with multi-state commercial contracts or vendor negotiations is a plus.
• Proficiency in a second language such as French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese is advantageous.
