This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Evaluate AI-generated answers to realistic inquiries related to Australian law

• Assess the legal precision, thoroughness, quality of reasoning, and practical relevance

• Compare the same legal prompts across two different AI platforms

• Identify significant distinctions in legal reasoning, accuracy, and usefulness

• Rate responses based on a standardized rubric provided

• Offer concise written rationales for each assessment

• Clarify notable legal mistakes, omissions, or weaknesses in reasoning

• Record relevant discrepancies between competing AI responses

• Complete assigned evaluations within specified project deadlines

• Contribute to enhancing the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated legal analyses

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as in-house legal counsel practicing in Australia

• Strong understanding of Australian law

• Significant experience handling commercial and contract matters

• Experience in advising businesses on practical legal challenges

• Strong capability to assess complex legal reasoning

• Excellent command of written English and keen attention to detail

• Ability to work independently while utilizing structured evaluation criteria

• Strong professional judgment and consistency in reviewing legal work

• A legal degree or an equivalent professional legal qualification is highly relevant

• Professional qualifications suitable for legal practice in Australia may enhance an application

• Experience with legal research or analysis review, legal technology, AI-related legal matters, rubric-based legal review, or AI-generated legal content is a plus
