Core Developer I, Card Squad

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as a key member of the implementation team, providing assistance as needed to resolve client support issues.

• Develop, modify, and uphold core C++ software to align with client business requirements.

• Conduct functional testing of software before code review and delivery to clients.

• Collaborate with the team to validate project specifications by assessing software goals, input data, and resulting outputs.

• Undertake revisions, repairs, or enhancements of existing programs to boost operational efficiency or accommodate new specifications.

• Ensure quality is maintained and optimized through necessary testing.

• Keep historical records by documenting program development and modifications.

• Provide after-hours on-call support for emergencies and occasional weekend client transition assistance.

• Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

• Engage in the complete development lifecycle from gathering requirements, development, and testing to ongoing support.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional experience in backend software development.

• Proficiency in C++ is essential.

• Familiarity with SQL, XML, and AIX.

• Understanding of relational databases.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of credit union products and services is an advantage.

• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technology field, or an equivalent amount of experience.

• Participation in on-call support rotation for after-hours emergencies and occasional weekend client conversion tasks.
