Copilot Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, utilizing .NET/C# as the core technology.

• Create and maintain front-end SPFx, API, and Azure support layers that connect backend services to contemporary front ends using SharePoint, Teams, and other M365 tools.

• Integrate enterprise backend systems, including SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Graph, through both native and custom connectors.

• Design and deploy AI-driven features and intelligent experiences utilizing Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Cognitive Search, and Azure Machine Learning.

• Architect solutions focused on performance, security, and scalability, including authentication/authorization, caching, messaging, and resilient service-to-service communication.

• Manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

• Leverage AI-driven development tools to expedite delivery, enhance prototyping speed, and improve code quality.

• Collaborate with middleware and mobile engineers to establish clear API protocols.

• Act as the technical lead for client projects, translating business needs into architectural designs and mentoring developers through code evaluations and hands-on support.

• Work closely with architects in the Experience practice to ensure backend and integration choices align with the overall platform strategy.

• Contribute reusable accelerators, internal tools, and documentation to Genpact Experience’s Microsoft practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional software development experience, with significant expertise in M365 and Microsoft Azure as a foundation.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and building M365 applications and solutions, SPFx components, and integration layers that connect M365 tools through secure APIs.

• Hands-on experience with the M365 security suite, including Entra, Purview, and SharePoint Advanced Management.

• Familiarity with the complete M365 suite of tools and knowledge of Microsoft Fabric for data and analytics.

• Practical experience in developing AI-powered features using Microsoft Copilot Studio/Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure Cognitive Search.

• Strong grasp of cloud architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven design, caching, messaging, and secure API design.

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex) as a part of the daily engineering workflow.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of working directly with clients and cross-functional teams, as well as mentoring fellow developers.

• Preferred Microsoft certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Power Platform, or equivalent).

• Experience with Next.js/React front-end development, SPFx frameworks, Azure resource management, API Management, and scripting with PowerShell/CSOM.

• Knowledge of agentic AI patterns and multi-agent orchestration frameworks (Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar).

• Experience with Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry.

• Background in designing solutions across hybrid on-prem/cloud environments, particularly with M365 and SharePoint migrations.

• Proven history of creating internal accelerators, frameworks, or reusable components.

• Experience in regulated industries with a focus on security and compliance requirements.
