This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Analyze project contracts and vendor agreements to ensure compliance with controls-related requirements.
β’ Evaluate and confirm the accuracy of electrical drawings, data flow diagrams, network designs, signal mappings, electrical power models, and control narratives.
β’ Organize and maintain technical documentation within SharePoint effectively.
β’ Facilitate the flow of documentation among vendors and project stakeholders.
β’ Create batch scripts and automation tools to enhance data collection and operational efficiency.
β’ Act as a technical resource for customers, EPCs, utilities, equipment vendors, and internal project teams.
β’ Diagnose network and communication issues within VPN-secured environments.
β’ Address customer and operator inquiries related to system modifications, troubleshooting, and enhancements to control systems.
β’ Assist in site commissioning activities and controls-related tasks.
β’ Ensure adherence to engineering standards, project specifications, safety procedures, and company policies.
β’ A degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
β’ At least 3 years of experience with industrial control systems in electrical generation, renewable energy, or similar power system settings.
β’ Proficient in Modbus, DNP3, and TCP/IP protocols.
β’ In-depth knowledge of industrial networking, including IP addressing, subnetting, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network communications.
β’ Familiarity with SCADA systems, plant control systems, or utility-scale automation.
β’ Experience with inverter-based resources such as Battery Energy Storage Systems, solar, or other renewable generation technologies is a plus.
β’ Preferred exposure to substations, protective relays, and transformers.
β’ Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Capability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
β’ Willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 10β15% of the time.
