This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, treasury, and financial reporting for the firm's U.S. and international subsidiaries.
• Direct the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure uniform accounting policies, reporting standards, and financial controls across various entities.
• Collaborate with local accounting, tax, and professional advisors for statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Enhance accounting processes, workflows, systems, and internal controls.
• Automate manual tasks and utilize technology, including AI.
• Supervise international treasury operations, cash management, foreign currency transactions, intercompany funding, and banking relationships.
• Work in partnership with the CFO on global treasury practices, liquidity, and growth strategies.
• Standardize billing procedures across audit, tax, and consulting services.
• Develop performance metrics and dashboards for accounting operations.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of approximately 13 accounting professionals, including two direct reports.
• Set expectations, accountability, and development opportunities for the team.
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of financial systems and technology.
• Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Contribute to mergers and acquisitions, integration, and strategic initiatives.
• Enhance financial infrastructure to support long-term growth.
• Proven experience managing accounting operations for multiple legal entities, ideally across international jurisdictions.
• Strong grasp of financial reporting, accounting principles, internal controls, and closing processes.
• Preference for experience in a professional services environment.
• Proven track record in improving processes, implementing technology, and automating repetitive tasks.
• Working knowledge of international accounting and financial reporting, including foreign currency translation and intercompany transactions.
• Experience in international treasury operations, focusing on foreign currency exposure, cash management, and cross-border banking.
• Familiarity with accounting and regulatory requirements in Australia and Ireland is advantageous.
• Experience with financial systems and accounting technology, including ERP platforms and workflow automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Capability to balance strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
• Continuous improvement mindset and a curiosity about finance operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience in a Controller or similar accounting leadership position.
