This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Assume overall responsibility for financial operations across UK and GSA countries and entities, which include the UK, South Africa, France, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Luxembourg.
• Lead a team tasked with financial activities, management reporting, statutory obligations, and tax regulatory compliance.
• Report directly to the Sr. Director Controller for EMEA / EMEA Controller.
• Actively manage an outsourced accounting team in India through daily communication.
• Oversee accounting operations through R2R functions.
• Drive global finance operations synergies and standardize processes and systems.
• Eliminate manual processes and implement scalable automated solutions.
• Facilitate the implementation of the new D365 financial system.
• Reduce the number of legal entities.
• Ensure compliance with group accounting timelines, policies, and internal controls.
• Supervise the preparation, review, approval, and submission of local statutory and tax filings.
• Collaborate with external auditors to guarantee timely and accurate deliverables.
• Oversee cash management, intercompany and royalty payments, and maintain bank relationships.
• Review weekly tax cash forecasts against actual results.
• Manage quarterly management reporting packages and perform income statement/balance sheet flux reviews.
• Prepare monthly P&L review documents and conduct month-on-month variance analyses.
• Validate and authorize journal entries, purchase requisitions, system access, travel, and expense reports.
• Review balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Maintain or enhance the timeliness and quality of both internal and external financial reporting.
• Administer VAT and Corporation Tax returns and assist with tax audits.
• Drive remediation efforts and corrective actions pertaining to financial activities.
• Conduct ad hoc accounting research and analysis.
• Support accounting integration for new entity acquisitions.
• Engage in business and finance projects.
• Deliver value-added support to regional businesses.
• ACA/ACCA qualified.
• Strong technical accounting and tax expertise.
• Preferred system experience includes Dynamics AX & D365.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience in managing remote teams across various locations within an international organization.
• Background in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Familiarity with various finance systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in change management and efficiency enhancements.
• Proven track record in financial control.
