This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Plan, lead, coordinate, and manage financial management, accounting, and consulting operations for 15 to 20 startup clients.

• Prepare and assess balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and detailed financial reports.

• Review and critique the work of other accounting personnel.

• Record, reconcile, analyze, and finalize general ledger transactions.

• Build and sustain client relationships as the primary financial contact.

• Provide due diligence assistance for audits, fundraising, and M&A initiatives.

• Monitor and report on financial metrics, trends, and discrepancies.

• Deliver timely financial insights and recommendations to aid client decision-making and strategic planning.

• Execute ad hoc client tasks and develop client-specific procedures for precise monthly financials.

• Support state and local compliance, sales and use tax reporting, and year-end bookkeeping for tax preparation.

• Mentor, assess, and provide feedback to junior accounting staff.

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to train junior staff.

• Maintain compliance documentation and evaluate internal controls and risk areas.

• Submit, approve, and monitor maintenance projects.

• Review and bill clients for special consulting projects while tracking billable hours.

• Participate in required training sessions and internal meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.

• Over 8 years of experience in corporate accounting.

• Experience in a multi-client accounting environment.

• In-depth understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles.

• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, U.S. GAAP, regulations, and standards.

• Solid experience with QuickBooks Online.

• Advanced skills in MS Excel and Google Sheets.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Willingness to work core business hours in the local time zone, approximately from 8 am to 5 pm.

• Keen attention to detail and capability to handle a high volume of intricate tasks.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.

• Interest in rapidly evolving technology and software solutions.

• Capability to work remotely with discipline, strong work ethic, healthy boundaries, effective work strategies, and emotional intelligence.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. via Form I-9/E-Verify.
