This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the solicitation and contracting processes for acquiring equipment and services related to forest conservation, wildfire resilience, land and watershed restoration, and recreational projects.

• Ensure adherence to NFF contracting and procurement guidelines, funding stipulations, and 2 CFR 200 throughout the procurement and contracting lifecycle.

• Collaborate with field personnel to devise sourcing strategies for equipment and services.

• Assist in the creation and evaluation of solicitations, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.

• Examine requests for new contracts and amendments, along with supporting documentation, terms, and conditions for compliance.

• Prepare amendments and revisions to contracts and lead negotiations in coordination with field staff.

• Actively engage with field personnel, the Contracts and Procurement Attorney, and other stakeholders regarding sourcing and contract issues.

• Manage contract approvals and signature workflows.

• Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of contract data.

• Revise and maintain contract and solicitation templates.

• Act as a partner, mentor, and liaison for field staff throughout the procurement and contracting procedures.

• Provide training, mentorship, or assistance to program staff as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional certification.

• Minimum of three years of experience in contract administration and compliance, contract management, procurement and acquisition, or related fields.

• Strong attention to detail and dedication to process adherence.

• Proficient knowledge of contracting and procurement processes involving both federal and nonfederal funds.

• Significant experience with 2 CFR 200, FAR, or equivalent regulations.

• Familiarity with risk management practices related to financial security and insurance.

• Capability to synthesize or convey technical requirements in layman's terms.

• Competence to juggle multiple competing priorities and prioritize effectively.

• Understanding of field program staff requirements and the ability to align them with NFF policies and funding agreement stipulations.

• Strong skills in customer service, troubleshooting, and innovative problem-solving.

• Ability to thrive under tight deadlines.

• Exceptional written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• High proficiency in Microsoft 365.

• Capacity to work independently with minimal oversight and support.

• Access to reliable internet and a dedicated workspace.

• Paralegal certification or experience with legal contracts is advantageous.

• Experience in forestry, construction, recreation infrastructure, or habitat enhancement projects is a plus.

• Preferred knowledge of natural resource issues and/or the USDA Forest Service.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
