This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +10 more states.
• Oversee and evaluate the performance of contracts related to government projects.
• Support the negotiation and management of agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Keep contract and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) information updated in Contract Management Software.
• Ensure precise data input, tracking, and reporting from the pre-award stage to contract closeout.
• Manage spare parts contracts from the initial quote until delivery and final payment.
• Assess solicitation terms, confirm contract awards, and review agreement terms and conditions, including amendments and modifications.
• Recognize risks and potential issues within contract terms and conditions.
• Address inquiries concerning contract obligations and amendments.
• Manage contract deliverables, invoicing, and cash collection processes.
• Draft proposals and evaluate moderately complex pricing proposals.
• Input data and negotiate standard terms and conditions.
• Oversee contract performance and cost controls to ensure compliance.
• Create teaming agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), consultant agreements, sales representative agreements, and other contractual documents.
• Generate contractual documents and compile contract documentation packages as directed.
• Engage in management reviews of proposals/contracts and program assessments.
• Foster relationships with internal and external customers.
• Prepare export license applications as necessary.
• Provide negotiation and management support for subcontracts as needed.
• Undertake special projects as requested.
• Uphold and promote the mission, values, and culture of DRS.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of pertinent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience in briefing, negotiating, and reviewing contracts and agreements.
• Familiarity with monitoring contracts and subcontracts of increasing complexity and value.
• Proficient in general computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).
• Knowledge of terms and conditions for Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), Time & Materials (T&M), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), and other contract types.
• Understanding of government intellectual property/software and data rights clauses, as well as IP marking guidelines.
• Familiarity with source selection and evaluation, including cost and price analysis.
• Experience managing government property.
• Comprehension of contract/purchase order terms and conditions, along with government contracting processes.
• Knowledge of government contract administration responsibilities, including subcontract flow-downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, closeout, and record retention.
• Experienced in drafting, negotiating, and utilizing contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, teaming agreements, and other agreements.
• Familiarity with Costpoint and/or Unison software.
• Knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grok, and/or Claude.
