Continuous Improvement Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as an internal consultant throughout the organization to uncover opportunities for enhancing business and operational efficiency.

• Design, strategize, and implement process modifications while embedding new procedures for long-term sustainability.

• Collaborate with leadership from all business sectors to enhance customer metrics, financial outcomes, and employee engagement.

• Achieve tangible results and spearhead change management initiatives to foster support among employees and leadership.

• Develop and initiate the operational excellence strategy for the Center of Excellence across approximately 45–50 cargo locations in the United States.

• Revamp warehouse operations, showrooms, and prototypes at four key flagship locations.

• Utilize Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, value-stream mapping, process enhancement, cargo-flow analysis, and upgrades in technology, hardware, and software.

• Identify and mentor local resources at individual sites to implement the initiative across the WFS operation.

• Facilitate strategic planning to discover, prioritize, and align projects with corporate objectives.

• Plan and manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.

• Create and present business cases to the Senior Leadership Team.

• Document new operational models.

• Establish KPIs to evaluate and track long-term sustainability.

• Provide documentation, training, and continual support to internal stakeholders.

• Discover opportunities to enhance EBITDA across organizational structure, workflows, warehouse design and flow, and technology.

• Integrate best practices to achieve measurable productivity enhancements.

• Conduct risk assessments, process mapping, redesign, simulations, root cause analyses, and time-and-motion studies.

• Assess insourcing and outsourcing possibilities.

• Standardize processes across North American operations.

• Identify, evaluate, and adopt new technological solutions.

• Report directly to the SVP of the Center of Excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in engineering, operations, or a similar field.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline is required.

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification is mandatory.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills.

• Understanding of change management and its influential components.

• Experience in Aviation, Automotive, Consumer Products, Industrials, Manufacturing, Production, or Logistics is valued.

• Familiarity with SAP is appreciated.

• Knowledge of planning processes and procedures.

• Awareness of the contributions to budgets and forecasts.

• Ability to work in the field while collaborating through influence.

• Professional and personable demeanor.

• Capability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.

• Competence in operating a computer and office productivity machinery.

• Ability to walk short distances, reach above and below shoulder level, and handle or grasp documents or office equipment.

• Capability to sit and/or stand for both short and extended durations.

• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects, files, and documents weighing up to 10 pounds.
