This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Execute straightforward projects related to claims operations, which include activities in the field, desk, and estimating software.

• Establish connections with adjusters and fellow Sedgwick team members.

• Engage in a structured learning pathway to obtain an adjuster license within 12 months of employment.

• Accomplish assigned tasks that involve claims specialty areas such as engineering, forensic accounting, and fire investigation.

• Support property specialists with projects and actively participate in meetings.

• Receive training on insurance coverages and principles, which includes analyzing loss experience, financial conditions, and the physical attributes of risks.

• Under the guidance of a claims expert, interact with insured parties and document claims data, visuals, and associated evidence.

• Assist experts during the claims inspection process.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Travel as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A minimum of one (1) year of customer service, construction, or a related field experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in using personal computers, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Effective organizational skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

• Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Physical capability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, reach or work overhead, lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 100 pounds, and drive for up to 4 hours per day.

• Must consistently demonstrate manual dexterity.
