This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Develop and implement a thorough content strategy that supports DDTP marketing and outreach initiatives.
β’ Create engaging, accessible, and relevant content tailored for deaf, deaf-blind, hard of hearing, and disabled communities.
β’ Write, edit, and publish materials for websites, social media platforms, newsletters, brochures, reports, presentations, flyers, and other formats.
β’ Ensure that content is clear, concise, accurate, up-to-date, easy to navigate, aligns with brand standards, and meets accessibility requirements.
β’ Provide alternative text for images, captions for videos, and formatting that is compatible with screen readers.
β’ Keep abreast of best practices in accessibility.
β’ Collaborate with marketing, outreach, technical teams, subject matter experts, program staff, and stakeholders.
β’ Develop and manage a content calendar across various platforms.
β’ Ensure timely delivery of materials for campaigns, events, and initiatives.
β’ Evaluate marketing requests and produce on-brand collateral.
β’ Create educational resources about DDTP services, eligibility criteria, and access to telecommunications equipment.
β’ Oversee multiple content projects from inception to completion, prioritizing tasks and adhering to deadlines.
β’ Utilize audience and community feedback to enhance content and support DDTP beneficiaries.
β’ Employ SEO techniques and performance data to optimize content.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, Design, or a related field; equivalent professional experience is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting digital and marketing campaigns.
β’ At least 3 years of professional experience in creative and content production, coordination, sales, advertising, customer service, public relations, or a similar field.
β’ Proven experience in creating and managing written, visual, and multimedia content.
β’ Strong skills in writing, editing, and proofreading.
β’ Proficient in AP style and guidelines related to disability language.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of WCAG standards and digital accessibility best practices.
β’ Familiarity with content management systems, particularly WordPress.
β’ Knowledge of graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
β’ Experience with SEO best practices and optimization tools.
β’ Ability to utilize analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
β’ Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
β’ Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
β’ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Capability to convey complex information clearly and accessibly.
β’ Creative and strategic thinking skills.
β’ Proficiency in American Sign Language is preferred.
β’ Competence in using a computer and standard office equipment.
β’ May occasionally need to lift or move items up to 20 pounds.
β’ Fully remote work environment.

β’ Travel up to 5% may be necessary.
