Consulting Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the national expert for NetApp Keystone and Storage-as-a-Service.

• Identify suitable customers and workloads for consumption-based storage and Keystone integration.

• Lead comprehensive discovery sessions focusing on capacity, workloads, performance, data protection, cyber resiliency, operational models, financial goals, and lifecycle needs.

• Assist customers in assessing capital acquisition, leasing, cloud solutions, and Storage-as-a-Service options.

• Convert customer and business requirements into Keystone architecture and subscription recommendations.

• Create technical and financial recommendations regarding capacity, consumption, growth, performance service levels, subscriptions, and lifecycle needs.

• Articulate the value of consumption-based infrastructure to technical, financial, procurement, and executive stakeholders.

• Develop assessments and advisory services for Storage-as-a-Service readiness.

• Collaborate with clients, service teams, Solution Architects, sales, and NetApp to refine guidance, sales strategy, and Statements of Work.

• Design and promote NetApp solutions encompassing Keystone, ONTAP, data protection, cyber resiliency, hybrid cloud, cloud storage, data services, and AI-ready infrastructure.

• Support opportunities from qualification through discovery, modeling, architecture, proposals, implementation transition, and adoption.

• Address technical, commercial, operational, and contractual factors.

• Create discovery frameworks, qualification tools, reference architectures, financial-modeling guidance, presentations, proposal content, and best practices.

• Develop a national Keystone pipeline, go-to-market strategies, and growth initiatives.

• Identify additional implementation, migration, optimization, managed, and lifecycle services.

• Maintain strategic connections with NetApp's technical, sales, specialist, and leadership teams.

• Provide structured feedback from customers and the field to NetApp.

• Drive national outreach, technical enablement, and coaching for sellers, Solution Architects, Solution Executives, and specialists.

• Develop field-ready positioning to distinguish Keystone from traditional acquisition, public cloud, leasing, and competing Storage-as-a-Service models.

• Maintain extensive knowledge of the NetApp portfolio and collaborate across teams in cloud, compute, networking, security, virtualization, AI, consulting, managed services, and professional services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 7 years in a technical, pre-sales, consulting, architecture, or post-sale delivery role; or 11 years of relevant experience.

• Deep understanding of enterprise storage, data management, data protection, cyber resiliency, hybrid cloud, and infrastructure modernization.

• Familiarity with consumption-based technology models, subscription services, Storage-as-a-Service, or cloud economics.

• Proven ability to conduct technical and business discovery and translate customer needs into architectures, consumption models, recommendations, and actionable roadmaps.

• Strong business and financial understanding, including CapEx versus OpEx, consumption economics, infrastructure lifecycle costs, and business value.

• Capacity to engage technical, operational, procurement, financial, and executive stakeholders.

• Experience in developing comprehensive solutions that address technical, business, operational, and financial aspects.

• Excellent consulting, facilitation, presentation, and executive communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, engineering, services, finance, partner, and delivery organizations.

• Skill in influencing opportunity strategy and building consensus around complex technical and commercial solutions.

• Capability to develop repeatable methodologies, customer deliverables, enablement materials, and best practices.

• Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance in a national coverage model.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% or as needed.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with NetApp Keystone.

• Preferred: experience in developing Keystone consumption models.

• Preferred: familiarity with Storage-as-a-Service economics.

• Preferred: experience with complex consumption-based infrastructure agreements or multi-year technology subscriptions.

• Preferred: knowledge of NetApp ONTAP, AFF, StorageGRID, hybrid cloud, data protection, and cyber resiliency.

• Preferred: current NetApp technical certifications.

• Preferred: architecture experience with NetApp across enterprise storage, hybrid cloud, virtualization, containers, data protection, cyber resiliency, and AI infrastructure.

• Preferred: experience with assessment methodologies, advisory engagements, Statements of Work, and professional services.

• Preferred: experience with strategic enterprise accounts and complex multi-practice or multi-million-dollar opportunities.

• Preferred: experience with partner-led go-to-market strategies, sales plays, enablement content, and reusable solution assets.

• Preferred: experience in presenting to executives, finance, and procurement.

• Preferred: consulting or professional services experience related to infrastructure modernization, data center transformation, or cloud operating models.
