This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the primary contact for calls from patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers.
• Execute advanced administrative, operational, and customer support tasks.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary CIT team to eliminate medication access obstacles.
• Carry out reviews of medication lists.
• Address formulary and cost-management concerns.
• Aid in the completion of Patient Assistance Program applications.
• Facilitate Low Income Subsidy screening and enrollment.
• Educate patients about Medicare Prescription Payment Plans.
• Resolve issues related to pharmacy access.
• Oversee referrals utilizing established workflows.
• Conduct outreach to patients.
• Coordinate with clinics and healthcare providers.
• Document case activities and the outcomes of outreach efforts.
• Review brand and generic medication names, medical terminology, and pharmaceutical calculations.
• Implement medication adherence outreach, auditing, documentation, and reporting for STAR measures.
• Assist in the resolution of prior authorization and medication access challenges.
• Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on workflows.
• Receive and manage referrals for the Internal Medication Access Program.
• Initiate and follow up on patient assistance programs, prior authorizations, formulary exceptions/alternatives, and tier reductions.
• Offer guidance on medication packaging education, pharmacy transfers, third-party rejections, and override assistance.
• Process specific medication claim updates as requested by clinical pharmacists or providers.
• Adhere to program guidelines to ensure timely and appropriate medication access support.
• Successful completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program.
• Active, unrestricted State Pharmacy Technician License in your state of residence.
• PTCB Certified with Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Certification or the ability to acquire MTM Certification within 60 days of the hire date.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Familiarity with the top 200 medications.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn electronic health record systems.
• Prior Authorization experience is essential.
• Experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management.
• Preferred experience in Mail Order Pharmacy.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Availability for scheduling Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM local time.
• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload is required.
