This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Serve as an HR partner (HRBP) for clients, providing guidance to managers and founders regarding team and personnel matters.

• Develop, assess, and execute HR policies, which encompass the employee handbook, code of conduct, and regulations on remote work, vacation, and harassment.

• Create and implement structured onboarding processes that align with the unique culture of each client.

• Oversee employee relations cases, including conflicts, disciplinary actions, and exits.

• Enhance daily HR operations, including employee files, processes, tools, and documentation.

• Assist in the application of performance management frameworks and goal tracking.

• Keep abreast of HR best practices and ensure adherence to employment laws relevant in Canada and Europe, based on specific mandates.

• Work collaboratively with Alygra’s HR, Legal, and Marketing teams to deliver services that are cohesive and in line with the firm's standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of human resources experience, including roles as an HRBP, HR generalist, or in People Ops.

• Practical experience in formulating HR policies and managing employee relations cases.

• Solid understanding of onboarding processes and their effect on employee retention.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and diplomacy in managing sensitive situations.

• Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate rigor, and juggle multiple client engagements simultaneously.

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.

• Familiarity with employment standards in Quebec.

• HR certification (CRHA or equivalent) is viewed as an advantage.

• Experience in an HR consulting firm or fractional HR roles is a plus.

• Understanding of HR challenges specific to technology firms and AI is considered beneficial.

• Prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment is regarded as a significant advantage.
