This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tanzania.
• Deliver field-based technical assistance that incorporates gender-responsive and gender-transformative methods into ICT Clubs and extracurricular programs across five designated schools.
• Assist teachers, mentors, school focal points, and the technical implementing partner in promoting girls’ participation, leadership, confidence, safety, inclusion, and empowerment.
• Collaborate in the design of gender-transformative strategies and content for ICT Clubs, mentorship initiatives, the Innovation Bootcamp, and associated activities.
• Identify and prepare female role models and mentors in ICT and STEM, facilitating mentorship and career-exposure events.
• Embed gender-transformative content within methodologies, facilitation processes, implementation tools, and school-level activities.
• Support ICT Clubs, mentorship initiatives, the Innovation Bootcamp, and related activities, fostering girls’ technical and leadership involvement in digital projects.
• Monitor the implementation of gender components, identify challenges and opportunities, propose solutions, and provide ongoing support.
• Document successes, lessons learned, effective practices, challenges, and recommendations from the assigned schools.
• Prepare school-level monitoring reports along with a comprehensive report encompassing all five designated schools for the Lead Gender Expert.
• Submit inception and teacher-orientation workshop reports, reports from assigned schools, gender-integration reports, and a final technical report.
• Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in gender equality, girls’ empowerment, and gender-transformative programming.
• Proven experience in integrating gender into educational, ICT, STEM, youth, or community development initiatives.
• Experience engaging with schools, adolescents, teachers, and community stakeholders.
• Prior experience with governmental agencies, development partners, or international organizations is a plus.
• Strong skills in facilitation, mentoring, communication, analysis, and report writing.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
• Capacity to provide support across five designated schools while reporting to the Lead Gender Expert.
