Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and consultations for emergency department and inpatient teams.

• Provide consultative services in inpatient, emergency room, and emergency department environments.

• Treat patients aged 5 and older in emergency department and emergency room consultation settings.

• Work 13 to 16 shifts monthly, covering day, mid-day, and nocturnist schedules.

• Collaborate with highly skilled Iris PMHNPs through nurse practitioner supervision.

• Engage with multidisciplinary teams and various health systems across different levels of acuity.

• Serve underserved communities by delivering virtual behavioral health care.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives utilizing advanced and AI-supported tools.

• Coordinate with Iris Telehealth’s teams for licensing, credentialing, IT, onboarding, and administrative support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active medical license; TX or GA license required and/or IMLC Letter of Qualification preferred.

• Successful completion of a 4-year ACGME Residency Program in Psychiatry.

• Board Certification is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-residency consult-liaison experience is required.

• Experience and a willingness to treat patients aged 5 and older for ED/ER consultations.

• Ability to work comfortably with multiple health systems and varying levels of acuity.

• Must reside in the U.S. or a U.S. territory.

• Full-time psychiatrists must qualify for the $20K bonus.

• Weekend shifts are necessary, including 1 to 2 weekend shifts each month.

• An active medical license in the U.S. is a requirement.
