This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Lead, guide, and nurture a team of Project Managers supervising various construction projects.
• Set performance expectations and standards for accountability.
• Conduct project assessments, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Assist in workforce planning, resource distribution, succession planning, and talent cultivation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for significant clients and stakeholders.
• Facilitate executive-level project evaluations and business discussions.
• Manage client expectations and resolve escalated issues.
• Identify opportunities for additional services, project expansion, and business development.
• Oversee the delivery of project portfolios in terms of scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
• Review and authorize execution plans, recovery strategies, and change management approaches.
• Address complex project challenges and critical risks through issue resolution.
• Analyze project budgets, forecasts, earned value metrics, cost reports, revenue projections, cost-to-complete estimates, margin forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Enhance financial reporting processes and controls in collaboration with finance and operations teams.
• Develop, monitor, analyze, and report on portfolio and organizational KPIs.
• Propel corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives based on KPI outcomes.
• Identify risks at the portfolio level and execute mitigation strategies.
• Lead governance reviews and assessments of project health.
• Assist in audits, lessons learned, and process enhancement initiatives.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in construction management or project management.
• More than 5 years of experience leading project management teams and large-scale construction programs.
• Proven experience managing multiple Project Managers and intricate project portfolios.
• Demonstrated success in overseeing project financials, timelines, and client relationships.
• Strong comprehension of project controls, forecasting, risk management, and performance reporting.
• Skills in leadership and team development.
• Experience in managing executive client relationships.
• Knowledge of construction project delivery methodologies.
• Understanding of contract administration and commercial management.
• Proficiency in financial forecasting and cost control.
• Skills in schedule management and critical path analysis.
• Knowledge of portfolio and program management.
• Experience in KPI development and performance analytics.
• Understanding of data quality and reporting governance.
• Skills in risk management and mitigation planning.
• Proficient in negotiation and conflict resolution.
• Advanced skills with construction management software, project management systems, and reporting tools.
• PMP, CCM, DBIA, or similar professional certification is preferred.
