This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Act as the main point of contact for KDOT, overseeing communication, inquiries, meetings, reporting, documentation, and project specifications.
• Keep a thorough understanding of the Middle Mile contract and analyze requirements and their implications.
• Facilitate project invoicing by assessing completed tasks, contract stipulations, and necessary documentation to determine chargeable work.
• Collaborate with the accounting department to address any invoice discrepancies.
• Monitor project activities, milestones, deliverables, documentation, and reporting expectations.
• Serve as a liaison among KDOT, project leadership, operations, construction crews, contractors, and accounting.
• Observe modifications to project scope, contract stipulations, and overall project activities.
• Inform stakeholders of any operational or financial consequences.
• Analyze maps, engineering plans, construction documents, and project records.
• Detect discrepancies, gaps, and potential risks, and investigate solutions.
• Create reports, presentations, visual updates, and project materials utilizing Google Sheets and Google Slides.
• Assist with additional administrative and coordination tasks related to the Middle Mile project.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in project administration, construction administration, contract administration, accounting, or a similar field.
• Proficient in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets and Google Slides.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capable of establishing professional relationships through phone and written communication.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining robust communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Preferred: Experience with government agencies or government-funded initiatives.
• Preferred: Background in the construction or telecommunications sector.
• Preferred: Experience in interpreting construction plans, maps, engineering drawings, or project documentation.
• Preferred: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline.
• This position does not qualify for Visa sponsorship.
