This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and manage all pre-construction and construction operations for Giga Energy’s data center infrastructure project portfolio.
• Oversee projects from the initial pre-construction phase through to final energization.
• Create and uphold project execution plans, construction sequencing, logistics, temporary facilities, equipment access, storage, crane operations, and contractor mobilization.
• Assist with construction budgets, cost estimations, bid packages, contractor scopes, and project timelines.
• Evaluate drawings, specifications, equipment needs, contractor proposals, and constructability challenges.
• Coordinate the scopes for civil, structural, architectural, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, controls, communications, security, and equipment installation.
• Aid in contractor procurement and bid analysis.
• Develop responsibility matrices, delineate work-package boundaries, outline turnover requirements, and establish reporting, change management, RFI, submittal, document-control, and field communication processes.
• Direct and manage field construction activities across various contractors and trades.
• Oversee sequencing, site logistics, work fronts, contractor interactions, and short-interval planning.
• Maintain integrated construction schedules, monitor progress, spot critical-path impacts, and execute recovery strategies.
• Facilitate daily and weekly work planning with project stakeholders and site leadership.
• Supervise contractor staffing, productivity, materials, equipment, and adherence to contractual obligations.
• Lead site coordination meetings, conveying priorities, constraints, decisions, and corrective measures.
• Address field conflicts and ensure RFIs, design clarifications, submittals, and technical decisions are resolved effectively.
• Manage heavy equipment deliveries, inspections, storage, rigging, crane operations, setting, preservation, and installation.
• Track procurement status and escalate issues related to long-lead equipment, material shortages, fabrication delays, and delivery risks.
• Review contractor payment requests, progress quantities, change orders, and supporting documentation.
• Keep site records organized, including daily reports, photographs, manpower tracking, delivery logs, field decisions, and schedule updates.
• Oversee punch-list execution, contractor demobilization, record-document completion, and readiness for turnover.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction or energy project management; experience in utilities or modular infrastructure is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience managing intricate contractor networks and large-scale procurement.
• Strong knowledge of permitting, utility coordination, and QA/QC processes.
• Capability to handle multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Monday.com, Procore, etc.).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites in Texas and other locations.
