This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Supervise a team of 5–20 technical professionals on client projects across British Columbia.
• Manage and oversee project delivery teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Provide leadership and support in construction management and contract administration.
• Create work plans, staff resource allocations, budget estimates, and project timelines.
• Assist in responding to requests for qualifications, expressions of interest, and proposals.
• Develop solutions to address construction quality issues.
• Review project scopes, plans, contracts, and specifications.
• Organize and participate in pre-construction meetings.
• Monitor and control project costs, expenditures, budgets, and schedules.
• Serve as a technical expert across various project teams.
• Collaborate with Engineers of Record and Project Managers on design modifications.
• Ensure that quality management and assurance activities adhere to internal policies and procedures.
• Conduct quality audits.
• Provide support to field staff regarding construction disputes and contractor claims.
• Engage in value engineering and value analysis reviews.
• Recruit, train, develop, and manage team members.
• Evaluate staff work, progress, performance reviews, timesheets, and expense reports.
• Establish best practices for work procedures and client communication protocols.
• Manage project correspondence, documentation, records, meeting minutes, weekly reports, progress estimates, and EMR reports.
• Maintain client relationships while seeking new business opportunities.
• Diploma in Civil Technology or a related engineering degree, or completion of grade 12 along with construction-related courses.
• At least 7 years of experience in a construction supervision environment, including a minimum of 5 years in construction management.
• Extensive experience managing complex, multi-year highway construction projects and multi-tiered project delivery teams.
• Proven track record in developing and managing contracts, quality management systems, budgets, and schedules.
• Significant experience collaborating on responses to Requests for Qualifications and Proposals.
• Valid Driver’s License and a personal vehicle for travel to job sites.
• Strong organizational and document control capabilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple assignments effectively.
• Willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and varied terrains.
• Openness to travel throughout BC and work away from home for short durations.
• Prior staff management experience is preferred.
• Registration as an AScT, P.Eng., and/or CPWI is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and CAiCE is an asset.
