Construction Estimator – Division 5, Metals & Steel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive estimating workflows for Division 5 steel and metals projects.

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs based on commercial and industrial plans, drawings, and specifications.

• Analyze and interpret construction documents to ascertain project scope and requirements.

• Calculate costs related to materials, labor, fabrication, and steel installation.

• Create precise and competitive project estimates.

• Utilize Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Excel throughout the estimating process.

• Assist in the preparation and submission of bids.

• Coordinate project requirements within established operational workflows.

• Identify scope details, quantities, exclusions, and potential estimating risks.

• Maintain well-organized estimating documentation and cost information.

• Collaborate with internal teams to clarify project requirements and produce accurate bids.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of specialized construction estimating experience.

• Strong expertise specifically in Division 5 Metals & Steel.

• Experience with commercial and industrial construction projects.

• Residential-only estimating experience is not applicable.

• Excellent skills in quantity takeoff and construction document interpretation.

• Proficient in Bluebeam.

• Proficient in Procore.

• Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities.

• Practical knowledge of steel installation and field assembly.

• Ability to estimate material, labor, and installation costs accurately.

• Fluent communication skills in English.

• Availability for full-time work from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.

• Knowledge of AISC standards and guidelines is preferred.

• Experience estimating structural steel and related Division 5 scopes is preferred.

• Field experience or a strong conceptual understanding of steel installation is preferred.

• Background working with U.S.-based commercial or industrial contractors, fabricators, or steel companies is preferred.

• Detail-oriented and highly accurate.

• Comfortable taking ownership of estimates.

• Strong ability in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

• Familiarity with U.S. construction practices.

• Reliable and consistently available during EST business hours.

• Comfortable working within structured operational workflows.

• Clear and direct in English communication.
