This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, implement, execute, and sustain the Configuration Management Plan for C5ISC product lines and their appendices.
• Conduct configuration identification of components, subsystems, systems, software, and higher-level assemblies for designated systems and assets.
• Oversee, maintain, and update configurations in line with approved Coast Guard, C5ISC, and Communications Product Line processes.
• Inform the Communications Product Line Configuration Manager and assigned system engineers about proposed configuration changes from initial proposal to final resolution.
• Document and communicate the implementation status, effectiveness, and progress of authorized configuration changes.
• Supervise and assist in enforcing the configuration change logistics support process.
• Ensure that only authorized and validated changes are implemented in FLS, product documentation, and associated software.
• Aid project engineers in verifying the quality and completeness of configuration documentation.
• Update databases concerning equipment configuration and technical documentation, including FLS, NE-TIMS, CG-LIMS, and C5ISC IETM systems.
• Conduct internal and independent configuration audits to validate approved configuration baselines.
• Process up to 5 contractor-provided physical configuration audits each week and carry out up to 100 independent physical configuration audits annually.
• Compile and analyze drawings, equipment lists, and engineering documentation for configuration audits.
• Provide support for sustainment and sustainment engineering for Coast Guard communication systems, such as Rescue 21, VHF/UHF and HF communications, MILSATCOM, and Integrated Communications Systems.
• Must be a United States Citizen.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technical discipline, or equivalent field experience is required.
• At least 4 years of experience in developing and maintaining management plans, processes, and systems.
• Proven experience in creating technical documentation that details the design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of systems and processes.
• Advanced proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office 2016 applications, including Excel, Word, Visio, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of government personnel and real property management concepts, policies, procedures, and tools, including Oracle Fixed Asset Module or similar systems.
• Understanding of government configuration management, technical data management, and product line management concepts, best practices, policies, processes, and procedures.
• Familiarity with Fleet Logistics Systems (FLS), CGFIXIT, or commercial equivalents such as CMPRO™, ARAS PLM™, BMC Remedy™, and the ANSI/EIA-649 Configuration Management Standard.
• Acquainted with government logistics lifecycle engineering processes, including CG Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC), DHS Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC), and IEC 15288 Systems Engineering Standard.
• Knowledge of government inventory management and accounting systems, including Naval and Electronics Supply Support System (NESSS) or commercial equivalents.
• Familiarity with C5ISC supply chain management, transaction-level accounting, and C5ISC logistics.
• Understanding of industry, Coast Guard, and C5ISC obsolescence management, as well as government supply policies, procedures, and processes.
• Must be able to pass a government background check prior to employment.
