Computer Science Internship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in software design, coding, debugging, cyber security, and data science projects.

• Implement cyber security strategies for both offensive and defensive operations.

• Develop tailored software applications encompassing ideation, development, and testing phases.

• Create technology demonstrations utilizing commercial cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.

• Evaluate new application concepts.

• Investigate competitor products and offerings.

• Collaborate in a team to develop applications.

• Present a prototype to company leadership upon completion of the internship.

• Engage in mentoring, learning initiatives, and project assignments.

• Gain insights into government contracting and professional IT development and support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US citizen eligible for a US Government security clearance; selected candidates may be supported in obtaining a Security Clearance.

• Pursuing a Computer Science degree with an expected graduation date of May 2028.

• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.

• Capability to work effectively in team settings.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0.

• Proficient in computer applications; adept in the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Proven work ethic, goal-driven, and a record of academic excellence.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Critical thinker, capable leader, team player, and self-directed learner.

• Preferred: Experience with group programming projects.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.

• Preferred: Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.

• Preferred: Background in Front End and/or Back End development.

• Preferred: Experience with NodeJS.

• Preferred: Knowledge of GIT version control.

• Preferred: Experience with Cloud Systems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Preferred: Engagement in software project development as a personal interest.
