This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Lead a team of compute sales specialists to foster growth among enterprise customers in the Northeast U.S.
• Implement HPE’s compute sales strategy and achieve business outcomes through customer engagement, pipeline development, market penetration, and execution of complex deals.
• Convey direction that aligns with the company’s vision and strategic objectives.
• Motivate the team to achieve and surpass sales targets while enhancing profitability.
• Recruit, nurture, coach, retain, and manage the performance of sales talent.
• Organize team coverage and adjust resources to optimize market reach and financial success.
• Coordinate significant enterprise-level customer interactions.
• Handle escalations and develop solutions that transform challenges into business opportunities.
• Engage with senior customer executives to align HPE solutions with their needs.
• Establish and uphold executive-level relationships with key customers and partners.
• Promote new business development and foster a robust hunting mentality.
• Guide technical positioning, IT investment strategies, and pricing methodologies.
• Collaborate with channel, presales, legal, and other sales teams.
• Establish and manage pipeline development, forecasting, and comprehensive sales execution.
• Supervise strategic and tactical sales planning at both segment and account levels.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and insights into customer trends and market dynamics.
• Deliver customer feedback, competitive insights, and win/loss analysis.
• Preferred University or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise technology sales.
• More than 5 years of experience managing high-performing sales teams is preferred.
• Proven experience leading teams responsible for complex enterprise technology or infrastructure sales.
• Experience in recruiting, developing, coaching, and performance-managing sales talent.
• Demonstrated success in driving pipeline development, forecasting, account planning, and executing complex deals.
• Strong experience in executive-level customer engagement and relationship management.
• Preferred sales experience in compute, server, data center, hybrid cloud, AI infrastructure, or related enterprise infrastructure.
• Proven excellence in project and business management.
• Must reside within the Northeast U.S.; preferred locations are between North Carolina and Massachusetts.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Northeast territory.
• Strong leadership skills in enterprise technology sales and coaching sales teams.
• Deep understanding of enterprise compute, server, data center, hybrid cloud, AI infrastructure, and related technology solutions.
• Strong strategic and tactical skills in sales planning, territory management, account prioritization, pipeline management, forecasting, and deal execution.
• Strong executive presence and relationship-building abilities.
• Solid business and financial acumen.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the IT industry, technology trends, competitive landscape, and enterprise customer requirements.
• Ability to work effectively across presales, channel, product/category, legal, and sales organizations.
