This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist in establishing and managing Catena Trust Bank’s Compliance Management System under the leadership of the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Direct fiduciary compliance across custody, investment management, and trust operations.
• Manage the third-party risk management program throughout the vendor lifecycle, including oversight of services provided by affiliates.
• Oversee affiliate transactions related to intercompany activities, ensuring written market-terms analysis and compliance with Sections 23A and 23B of the Federal Reserve Act and Regulation W.
• Supervise compliance obligations related to non-financial crimes, including Privacy and UDAP.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assist in delivering the compliance training program.
• Prepare materials for committees and the Board.
• Provide support during examinations and audits.
• Collaborate closely with the Chief Trust Officer.
• A minimum of 5 years of compliance experience at a bank or trust company, preferably with some background in fiduciary and trust compliance as per 12 C.F.R. Part 9 and/or general non-financial crimes compliance.
• Strong understanding of a bank's Compliance Management System and second-line oversight, including risk assessment, monitoring and testing, issue management, and reporting.
• Knowledge of conflicts-of-interest and self-dealing controls within a fiduciary context.
• Exceptional writing skills, with a proven ability to draft policies, procedures, and materials for the Board.
• Demonstrated sound judgment and initiative in a dynamic, build-from-scratch environment.
• Practical experience with TPRM programs aligned with OCC Bulletin 2023-17, including vendor and affiliate oversight (preferable).
• Familiarity with Regulation W (Sections 23A/23B) and affiliate-transaction controls (preferable).
• Exposure to digital assets, stablecoins, or fintech custody and payments (preferable).
• Experience in implementing systems that use AI and ML to enhance quality and productivity within the function (preferable).
• Background through a de novo charter or with OCC supervision; CRCM or similar certification (preferable).
