This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main point of escalation for Compliance Representatives.
• Investigate compliance inquiries and deliver findings or suggestions to leadership.
• Appropriately escalate high-risk, unusual, or ambiguous compliance issues.
• Ensure that compliance decisions and actions are thoroughly documented.
• Provide training and support to both new and existing Compliance Representatives.
• Create and maintain compliance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), procedures, training materials, and internal reference documents.
• Offer continuous coaching and guidance to Compliance Representatives.
• Assist the Compliance Department Head with compliance reviews, research, projects, and other departmental requirements.
• Help with regular and one-off compliance reporting.
• Ensure that compliance policies and procedures are adhered to consistently.
• Take responsibility for assigned compliance issues until resolution.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of CCPA, CPRA, FCRA, and other relevant state and federal regulations.
• Remain updated on regulatory and policy changes that impact company operations, customer interactions, or internal processes.
• Assist in identifying discrepancies between regulatory obligations, company policies, and actual business practices.
• Over 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, fraud, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing customer, operational, or compliance-related escalations.
• Strong critical thinking abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Experience in consumer privacy, consumer reporting, or data brokerage fields (preferred).
• Familiarity with the CCPA/CPRA, FCRA, and related consumer protection or privacy regulations (preferred).
• Experience in supporting compliance monitoring, audits, investigations, or regulatory reporting (preferred).
• Background in developing procedures, controls, training materials, or compliance documentation (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to mentor or guide other team members (preferred).
• IAPP CIPP/US Certification (preferred).
