This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide guidance to operations, commercial, and product teams on first-line compliance matters.
• Convert regulations into product specifications, customer experiences, terms and conditions, and fair value evaluations.
• Assist in developing products from the initial concept through to approval and launch.
• Oversee product lifecycle compliance, including fair value evaluations, outcome monitoring, reviews, adjustments, and terminations.
• Evaluate potential partners against risk tolerance and scrutinize sales materials.
• Examine Griffin’s and customers’ marketing materials for adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Integrate regulatory requirements into daily service operations, procedures, and controls.
• Analyze regulatory changes and ensure timely execution of necessary adjustments.
• Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues.
• Clearly report on compliance risks and customer outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with the second-line Protect team, providing evidence and addressing challenges.
• Lead significant launches, such as card issuing, from initial concept to successful go-live.
• Experience in compliance within the first or second line of a UK-regulated institution, preferably a bank, e-money institution, or payments firm.
• Solid understanding of Consumer Duty, BCOBS, CASS, FISMA, the Payment Services Regulations, and the Money Laundering Regulations.
• Proven ability to translate regulations into actionable requirements for product, sales, or operations teams.
• Comfortable with interpreting and applying FCA rules to new scenarios.
• Possess a curious and questioning mindset.
• Ability to challenge assertively yet kindly.
• Strong writing skills with a commitment to clarity and readability.
• In-depth expertise in at least one specialized area, such as payments, cards, Consumer Duty, BCOBS, or financial promotions.
• Experience in the finance or banking sector is preferred.
• The successful candidate must undergo satisfactory background screening, including right-to-work, criminal record, credit history, social media, and professional reference checks.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Ability to work from anywhere in the UK.
