This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Provide guidance to Mercor's People team as it establishes its compensation and equity framework from the ground up.
β’ Offer expertise in the design of compensation structures, salary bands, leveling frameworks, and job architecture.
β’ Assist in the design of the annual compensation cycle, which includes merit planning, promotions, bonuses, and equity refresh initiatives.
β’ Advise on peer benchmarking and offer recommendations for executive-level compensation.
β’ Develop incentive structures that drive desired behaviors.
β’ Consult on the design of option and RSU programs, including grant guidelines, pool planning, vesting structures, and refresh philosophy.
β’ Contribute to 409A valuations, plan governance, and grant administration processes.
β’ Create models and communication strategies to clarify equity value for candidates and employees.
β’ Engage in short, compensated projects focused on a specific question.
β’ Collaborate on projects that enhance AI systems using human expertise.
β’ Extensive experience as a Total Rewards practitioner in compensation design and architecture and/or equity program management.
β’ Experience in developing salary bands, leveling frameworks, and job architecture from inception.
β’ Managed an annual compensation cycle that includes merit planning, promotion decisions, bonus programs, and equity refresh processes.
β’ Conducted benchmarking against peer groups and effectively justified recommendations to executive teams.
β’ Designed incentive structures that are straightforward, credible, and capable of changing behavior.
β’ Developed option and RSU programs, including grant guidelines, pool planning, vesting structures, and refresh philosophy.
β’ Experienced with 409A valuations, plan governance, and grant administration in a venture-backed environment.
β’ Created models and communication tools to help candidates and employees comprehend equity value.
β’ Must possess independent contractor status.
β’ Currently, unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.
β’ Compensated discussions regarding a live question, regardless of whether further engagement follows.
