This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Build and oversee communities focused on HARMAN SEBU’s innovative consumer products.
• Act as the representative voice of the product within user communities and advocate for community interests within the organization.
• Establish and cultivate foundational communities on platforms such as Discord, Reddit, and various social media channels.
• Engage with users on a daily basis, welcome new members, guide discussions, respond to inquiries, and ensure the community remains healthy.
• Moderate conversations and uphold community guidelines.
• Organize and execute community programs, rituals, and events including challenges, AMAs, and listening sessions.
• Identify, recruit, and support founding users, super-users, and influencers.
• Develop content aimed at the community and manage content and event schedules.
• Gather community sentiment and feedback, relaying insights to product, design, and growth teams.
• Collaborate with growth and product teams to enhance invite, sharing, and social proof strategies.
• Monitor and report on community health and engagement metrics, adjusting programs as necessary.
• Work collaboratively across various functions, including product management, growth, marketing, design, engineering, agencies, and partners.
• Report directly to the Director of Product Strategy.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community management, social media, or a related field.
• Proven experience in establishing and nurturing an online community from its inception.
• Proficient in using Discord, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
• Outstanding written communication skills with a strong sense of tone.
• Strong judgment in moderation, conflict resolution, and consistent enforcement of guidelines.
• Experience in planning and executing community programs and events.
• Ability to coordinate content schedules across multiple channels.
• Data-driven approach to defining and monitoring engagement and community health metrics.
• Capable of working independently and taking initiative in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
• Possess empathy and emotional intelligence.
• Genuine enthusiasm for music and music discovery.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally.
• Flexibility in work hours due to global operations.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
• Preferred: Experience in launching or seeding a community prior to public launch.
• Preferred: Familiarity with the music or audio industry.
• Preferred: Experience working with influencers, creators, or trendsetters.
• Preferred: Knowledge of community and social management tools and analytics.
• Preferred: Proficiency with AI tools.
• Preferred: Background in a large global organization with an entrepreneurial division.
