Community Research Methodologist – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop sampling frameworks, survey instruments, and fielding strategies for public sector clients.

• Supervise or provide guidance on mode strategies (such as web, mail, phone, and intercept) and enhance response rates.

• Conduct analysis of survey data, applying appropriate weighting and uncertainty; produce comprehensive findings reports.

• Assist in stakeholder engagement research that generates actionable insights for service design or policy formulation.

• Deliver presentations of results to boards, councils, and leadership within agencies.

• Provide technical contributions related to survey/community research for AlphaGov proposals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in survey methodology, public opinion research, or community/stakeholder research (from government, university survey centers, or public consulting).

• Held a lead or senior position in at least two completed public-sector or community surveys (including agency/client, your role, and year).

• Proficient in questionnaire design and quantitative analysis.

• Ability to write clearly and present information effectively to non-technical audiences.

• Possession of AAPOR or equivalent survey credentials.

• Experience engaging hard-to-reach or multilingual populations.

• Familiarity with mixed-methods approaches (combining surveys with focus groups or interviews).

• Background in transit rider, utility customer, or school-community surveys.
